Following the wildly popular first-year Ford Mustang, the refined 1966 model was offered in three body styles — the Hardtop (coupe), Convertible, and Fastback (SportsRoof) — appealing to everyone from economy-minded commuters to performance enthusiasts. Buyers could choose from a wide range of engines, starting with the "Sprint" 200ci inline-six.
The Hardtop, the most popular Mustang model, featured a fixed roofline with slender C‑pillars, chrome bumpers, and the signature galloping-horse grille. Inside, owners found bucket seats, a dual‑gauge instrument cluster, and a simple yet sporty dashboard. Optional factory upgrades ranged from pony interior trim and center consoles to power steering, air conditioning, and styled steel wheels.
This ’65 Hardtop was built at Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan, assembly plant and has been refinished in yellow over black vinyl upholstery. It features the upgraded pony interior featuring embossed horses on the front and rear seats. Under the hood, the Mustang is powered by a 200ci inline-six, mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional features include 14” steel wheels, drum brakes front and rear, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and dual‑pod instrument cluster.
This 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with a Florida title.
