Introduced in 1960, the Ranchero combined the utility of a pickup with the compact dimensions and car-like driving characteristics of Ford's Falcon platform. Sharing its front sheet metal and passenger compartment with the Falcon, the Ranchero offered practical cargo-hauling capability in a smaller package than traditional pickups.

Positioned above the standard Ranchero, the Deluxe model added upgraded exterior trim and interior appointments, further bridging the gap between a utility vehicle and a passenger car.

This 1965 Ford Falcon Ranchero Deluxe is now powered by a 302ci reportedly bored .030 over V8 equipped with Holley Sniper fuel injection and an MSD ignition system.
