Description
The all-new C2 Corvette was simply beautiful on the outside, and beautifully designed inside. Debuting in 1963 and available as a coupe or convertible, the C2’s low, wide stance, long nose, and flowing rear was instantly memorable. Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov’s chassis had both strength and a low center of gravity, and combined with an all-new independent rear suspension with transverse leaf springs and a capable front suspension, it provided incredible handling. And the driver-centered cockpit offered comfortable seating, informative gauges, and effortless style that rivaled the best European sports cars.
Aside from new standard four-wheel disc brakes, the other big news for 1965 was a brand-new big-block. However, those who preferred a well-balanced and powerful Corvette opted for a high-revving small-block like the 350-hp L79. This hydraulic-cam 327 offered both high power and low maintenance, and it effortlessly shot the lightweight Corvette forward.
This highly original 1965 Corvette convertible wears a stunning combination of Goldwood Yellow paint with a two-tone white and black interior. And in 2023, the National Corvette Restorers Society presented it with a Top Flight Award. So if you desire to own a C2 Corvette that looks as it did when it left the production line, now’s your chance!
