Description
The 1963–67 Corvette Sting Ray was a stunning leap forward in both form and function. Available as a sleek coupe or an open-top convertible, the C2’s low, wide stance, elongated nose, and gracefully tapered rear combined to create a timeless sports car design. And inside, its driver-focused cockpit rivaled the interiors of Europe’s finest sports cars.
Beneath the sculpted bodywork, Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov’s chassis combined strength with a low center of gravity. Paired with an independent rear suspension featuring transverse leaf springs, a capable front coil spring setup, and new-for-1965 four-wheel disc brakes, the C2 delivered exceptional handling and braking.
Favored by many enthusiasts, the 300-horsepower 327 offered a compelling mix of power and reliability: its hydraulic camshaft didn’t require regular maintenance like the solid-cam valvetrains did, but it still effortlessly propelled the lightweight Corvette forward.
This 1965 Corvette is said to have undergone extensive refurbishment under previous ownership, and its 327 was recently overhauled.

Ownership History
The California seller of this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette has owned it since 2022 and reports that the brake pads and rotors were recently replaced.
The consignor also states, “The previous owner stated that they did a frame-off refurbishment, and this Corvette is matching numbers, however there is no documentation. Car is all original except for a new DeWitts radiator, and it is like-new inside and out. The engine was professionally rebuilt in early 2022, just over 3,000 miles ago.”
“The exhaust is baffled now, when I bought it, it did not have mufflers. The baffling is still installed and the tail pipes are included as extra parts if the buyer wishes to revert to straight baffled exhaust, which is very loud.”
