Description

OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

Originally introduced in the early 1940s, Cadillac Series 62 models from the 1960s were shorter, squarer and more angular than their predecessors.

The 1963 line featured lower, wider grilles and more pronounced rear fender lines, giving the car a sleeker and more modern look. The Series 62 was available in several body styles, including a two-door convertible, two-door hardtop coupe, and four-door sedan.

Under the hood was a robust 390 cubic-inch V8 engine delivering 325 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, and all cars were equipped with an automatic transmission. The Series 62 also featured advanced amenities for its time, such as power steering, power brakes, and optional air conditioning.

This 1963 Cadillac Series 62 Hardtop Coupe was repainted in its original Palomino Tan Metallic by a previous owner, but its interior and mechanicals are mostly stock except for an Edelbrock carburetor, vintage aftermarket air conditioning, and new carpet.

Ownership History

The owner of this 1963 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe bought it in September 2004. “It was always garaged — never spent the night outdoors in the 21 years I've owned it. All four electric windows and switches work, as do all turn indicators, high/low beams, brake and reverse lights, and horn.”
