Description
The Jaguar XK series began with the groundbreaking XK120 in 1948, a car that redefined postwar sports car performance with its sleek design and 160-horsepower twin-cam inline-six engine. It was followed by the XK140 in 1954, which offered improved handling, more interior space, and optional automatic transmission. In 1957, the XK150 arrived as the final evolution of the series, featuring a wider body, standard four-wheel disc brakes, and a more refined driving experience. Available in three body styles—Fixed-Head Coupe, Drop Head Coupe, and Open Two-Seater (roadster) — the XK150 retained the classic Jaguar silhouette while embracing modern performance upgrades.
This 1959 Jaguar XK150 Open Two-Seater is finish in Imperial Maroon over Biscuit English leather and features a Stage One performance engine rebuild paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional upgrades include revised brakes, suspension, cooling, and ignition systems, along with integrated air conditioning and Bluetooth audio. The car retains a largely stock appearance, with thoughtful enhancements aimed at improving reliability and comfort. Approximately 2,100 miles have been added since the completion of the restoration, as reflected by the reset odometer.
