This Golden Hawk is one of 4,356 units produced for the 1957 model year, and the seller reports that a body-off-frame refurbishment was performed in 2019. The engine and body are numbers-matching, consistent with the original specifications as documented in the factory production order copy from the Studebaker Museum. Refinished in gold with white accents, the car is powered by a rebuilt supercharged 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Disc brakes have been fitted up front, and the interior features seating surfaces upholstered in white with pleated black centers.

From the seller: "The frame-off restoration was completed during the prior owner’s stewardship. He sold the car because his mechanic passed away and the shop couldn’t provide documentation of the work—the mechanic wasn’t great with paperwork. I had the car inspected before purchase, and the inspector visually confirmed the rebuilt condition. When I saw the car in person, it was clearly a frame-off restoration—especially evident in the suspension and rubber components."
