Description
“The sports model Nomad is a dream car come true, beauty queen of all station wagons.” When the 1957 Bel Air Nomad debuted, Chevrolet made an incredible statement: we can even make a six-passenger station wagon look stunning.
One of eight different styles for the 1957 model year, the Nomad featured a unique two-door wagon design with an angled B-pillar separating the front and rear windows and a huge greenhouse with sliding rear quarter windows for great visibility.
That unique styling, combined with Chevy’s powerful V8 engines and choice of manual or automatic transmissions, made this wagon a stylish and useful choice for families. Just 6,300 or so Nomads are reported to have been built for the 1957 model year, making them among the rarest configurations.
This '57 Bel Air Nomad features the uplevel Bel Air trim's gold and silver brightwork, as well as additional bright metal on the tailgate rub rails, front fender moldings, folding rear seat, cargo floor, inner glass surrounds, and headliner bows. This older refurbishment has been refinished in India Ivory and Inca Silver two-tone, over a red and burgundy interior. Its 350ci ZZ4 crate engine is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission, and it's fitted with front disc brakes as well as an air conditioning system.
This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad is now offered with an extra master cylinder and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
