Description

The undeniable popularity of 1955-57 Chevrolets, both then and now, has been widely documented. Although the most romanticized model in the “Tri-Five” lineup is the Bel Air, entry-level examples provide similar styling at a more affordable price. The Two-Ten (210), which took its name by shortening the production series number (2100), was Chevy’s mid-range offering. Following a major styling reboot in 1955, changes for 1956 included hiding the fuel filler behind the left taillamp, widening the grille to encompass rectangular front marker lamps, and shrinking the taillamps to small round lenses in a larger chrome decorative bezel. Perhaps the most obvious styling difference between the 1956 Bel Air and 210: the Bel Air has parallel side spears, while the 210 has one.
