Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
For 1955, the second-generation Ford F-100 featured a redesigned grille and a wrap-around windshield, giving it a more modern appearance. Under the hood, buyers could choose between a dependable inline-six engine or a newly available Y-block V8, and Ford also introduced a 12-volt electrical system that year. The F-100’s combination of durability, versatility, and style made it popular among farmers, tradespeople, and everyday drivers, helping cement its legacy as an American classic pickup truck.
This 1955 F-100 was reportedly acquired by the seller in 2002, with refurbishment and modifications beginning in 2007. It is powered by a 283ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and limited-slip differential. Refinished in gray, the body rides on a lowered suspension with rear coilovers. Additional modifications include power-assisted steering, front disc brakes, and 15” steel wheels finished in red.
The exterior features a front-hinged hood and is accented by a white grille and front bumper, while wooden bed and tailgate slats allow access to the aluminum fuel tank’s central fuel filler.
Inside, a bench seat is upholstered in red cloth and wears a pattered cover. A wood-rim steering wheel is mounted to a tilt column and fronts VDO instrumentation.
This 1955 Ford F-100 is now offered at no reserve with spare parts and an Indiana title in the seller’s name that lists the truck’s make as “Assembled.”
