Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1955 Chevrolet 3100 marked a major turning point in Chevy truck history as it helped introduce the new Task Force series. Introduced alongside a bold new design, it replaced the earlier Advance‑Design trucks with a more modern look featuring a wider grille, wraparound windshield, and improved interior comfort. Mechanically, the 3100 offered buyers a choice of inline‑six engines or a newly available small‑block V8.
While durability and utility remained central, Chevrolet clearly aimed the 3100 at customers who wanted a truck that looked good on the road as well as on the job. That blend of rugged simplicity and clean styling made the 1955-57 models a favorite, and today they are a popular platform for custom builders.
This modified '55 Chevrolet 3100 was commissioned by the seller’s father and completed in 2015, and it features a custom lime green paint job with yellow airbrushed artwork. The truck’s 350ci V8 engine was rebuilt and is mated to an automatic transmission. Notable modifications include an aluminum radiator, exterior sun visor, Black Rhino six-spoke chrome wheels, taillights from a 1959 Cadillac, late-model rearview mirrors, aftermarket seats with black upholstery and seat belts, air conditioning, Dolphin gauges and a modern stereo.
This 1955 Chevy 3100 pickup is now offered with a conditional Georgia title in the seller’s name.
