The 1955 Chevrolet is simply iconic, effortlessly blending bold styling with innovative engineering. The first model in the legendary 1955–57 “Tri-Five” series, it was offered in coupe, sedan, wagon, and convertible body styles, and 150, 210, and Bel Air trim levels. All had a sleek, modern silhouette with a Ferrari-inspired grille, wraparound windshield, and distinctive tailfins — design cues that captured the excitement of the jet age.
These '55 Chevys have long been regarded as some of the quintessential Pro Street cars out there, running modified V8s with tubbed and narrowed rear ends for an absolutely gnarly look. If you can somehow look past the huge blower sticking out of the hood, you’ll see that this ’55 has been refinished in two-tone teal and silver, and its Bel Air brightwork nicely complements the BDS blower’s polished air intakes.
That supercharger works with dual carburetors to cram air and fuel into a 383ci stroker V8, which in turn sends a tsunami of torque through an automatic transmission to a narrowed, coil over-equipped rear end. Wide Weld wheels wearing Mickey Thompsons complete the Pro Street look, and a built-out cabin featuring a roll cage, a full suite of aftermarket gauges, and four race seats tells challengers that it means business.
This Pro Street 1955 Chevrolet 2-Door Sedan is offered on consignment by the selling dealer in North Carolina with a clean South Carolina title in the owner’s name with an “Exempt” brand.
