Description

Capitalizing on the success of the F1, the next generation of Ford Pickup trucks was yet another sales success. These trucks were among the earliest American-made vehicles to benefit from an ergonomic study to increase operational comfort, marketing it as the “Driver Engineered” cab. As a result of this work, there was increased sound deadening, a wider seat, and controls that fall easily to the hand. Engine options for 1954 included a high compression 223 cu-in inline-six-cylinder and the all-new overhead-valve ‘Y-block’ 239 cu-in V8. Today collectors enjoy these trucks for their classic styling and ease of use, allowing them to still be a fun and useful addition to any collection.
