This 1940 Ford is a De Luxe Convertible Club Coupe model that has been subtly and tastefully upgraded for more modern driving enjoyment. It features a pleasing vintage look, painted in a color that may be a factory shade of Tacoma Cream with some subtle burgundy red and black pinstriping. It has been slightly dropped and has a nice “rake” with its stance perfectly completed by “big & little” wide whitewall Diamondback Classic tires over vintage factory-look staggered steel wheels.

Inside, the Deluxe features more modern leather seats, which are power operated in the front. A Lecarra steering wheel and custom, more modern gauges combine with nicely redone carpeting to create a comfortable cabin for cruising enjoyment.

The ZZ4 350’s power is put to the ground via a stout Ford 9-inch rear end, and the car’s automatic transmission and front disc brakes make it a nice and tractable cruiser around town. Significant work performed under current ownership, since 2018, includes a new March Performance serpentine system, new radiator, carburetor, water pump, alternator, and AC compressor. Additionally, the vehicle has had new front brakes and a new master cylinder installed, along with rear brake cylinders. It has been fitted with electronic ignition. Overall, the ’40 Ford is one of Ford’s most pleasing designs of all time. This Convertible Club Coupe captures the best of vintage FoMoCo style paired with modern amenities for real-world enjoyment.
