The 1938 Cadillac Series 38-75 Fleetwood Sedan was a hallmark of pre-war American luxury and engineering. Built on Cadillac’s longest wheelbase of 141 inches, the Series 75 was the brand’s flagship model, offering unmatched elegance and spaciousness. Designed by Fleetwood, Cadillac’s in-house coachbuilder, the sedan featured formal styling with a distinctive grille, skirted fenders, and finely crafted interiors that catered to affluent clientele and dignitaries.
Under the hood, it was powered by Cadillac’s robust 346 cubic-inch L-head V8 engine, delivering smooth performance and reliability. The 1938 model introduced several refinements, including improved suspension and hydraulic brakes, enhancing ride comfort and safety. Cadillac also offered a range of body styles in the Series 75 line, but the Fleetwood Sedan stood out for its stately presence and attention to detail.
This model marked Cadillac’s continued commitment to innovation and luxury during a time of economic recovery and global uncertainty. It was favored by executives and government officials, symbolizing prestige and power.
