Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1937 Ford Two‑Door Sedan blended late Art‑Deco elegance with emerging streamlined design. Offered in more than one body configuration, it included both a rounded “humpback” version and a more traditional notchback design. The humpback featured a smoothly sloping roofline flowing into an enclosed trunk, giving it an aerodynamic profile. After World War II, these cars gained new life as affordable used vehicles, and their strong frames, flowing fenders, and distinctive silhouettes made them popular among custom builders.
This 1937 Ford Tudor “Humpback” Sedan was turned into a hot rod by a previous owner, said to be a metal fabricator who reportedly did the work himself. Among the numerous modifications was the installation of a 355ci V8 engine (a 350 that been bored .030” over) with an Edelbrock tunnel ram intake, dual QFT carburetors, a fuel pressure regulator with fuel pressure gauge, vintage Weiand valve covers, and long tube headers.
Additional modifications included a GM Turbo-Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic transmission with a TCI performance automatic shifter, MSD electronic ignition system, sheet metal interior with aluminum racing seats, and AutoTech and IEQUUS gauges. The hot rod wears a 1932 Ford grille, has an open engine bay and aluminum wheels, and has been refinished in dark plum satin paint with orange flames and lower body paint that offers the illusion of patina.
This modified 1937 Ford Tudor is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Florida title.
