Description

The 1934 Ford Model 40 Cabriolet was a stylish, semi-luxury convertible that blended performance with elegance during the height of the Great Depression. With its roll-up windows, folding soft top, and rumble seat, the Cabriolet was more refined than the Roadster, and its sleek, swept-back grille and flowing fenders reflected the era’s Art Deco influence. Today, the ’34 Cabriolet is a favorite among hot rodders and collectors, often customized with modern drivetrains while preserving its iconic prewar silhouette.

To that end, this 1934 Ford Cabriolet custom build — with an interior that has been patterned after Chip Foose's low-slung 1936 Ford Roadster called “Impression” has a removable Carson top in Mercedes-Benz black Haartz cloth and a dual quad 409 cubic-inch V8 (dual four-barrel Edelbrock 1404 500 CFM carburetors with electric choke) that was built by Ridler Award winner Brad Ranweiler of Show Cars Automotive.

The two-seater also features a Richmond Street five-speed manual transmission, Currie 9 Plus rear axle with a 3.50:1 gear ratio, Walker radiator, custom stainless-steel grille and chrome by Advanced Plating, and Foose Nitrous wheels. Interior upgrades by Justin Stephens include power steering and windows, power heated seats, Alpine stereo, Vintage Air A/C, electric door locks, and anti-theft system.
