Description
Ford introduced the flathead V8 engine in 1932, but the "Deuce" models would later grow in popularity not because of that technological advancement but because they provided the perfect canvas for customizers, who often installed more powerful V8 engines and turned them into hot rods and street rods.
Ford’s 1932 Model B lineup included coupes, sedans, roadsters, and a roadster pickup, which combined the practicality of a truck with the stylish design of its siblings. The Tudor Sedan featured a sleek, streamlined body with smooth curves, a relatively low profile, and a prominent grille with large, round headlights. Under the hood, the two-door sedan could be had with either a four-cylinder or the new V8, and the car’s spacious interior could comfortably seat four to five passengers.
This one, of course, has changed considerably from when it rolled out of Henry Ford’s factory. The custom ’32 Tudor Sedan Street Rod has been chopped and shaved, is powered by a modern Chevy 350 V8 with Sniper fuel injection, employs a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, and wears Glasruit Black and Deltron Silver Metallic paint with scallops over plush gray cloth upholstery and door trim.
