Description

A 1920s maker of Ford Model T performance parts stated their products were for motorists “who want style, dash, and snap!” Henry Ford’s Model T put America on wheels with low cost and a variety of open and closed body configurations. But for speed enthusiasts often the best choice was a used “Tin Lizzie” with no body at all. Stripped to its bare essentials, even a Model T with the stock 20 horsepower engine could deliver driving excitement, and with performance equipment from a growing aftermarket a Speedster could be downright thrilling – a modified Model T finished fifth in the 1923 Indianapolis 500!

This 1916 Ford Model T is from the last year of “brass era” production. Finished in a striking yellow against the polished brass, the seller states this Speedster with standard Model T drivetrain has been regularly driven on tours and runs and drives well. It has been converted with a modern electric starter, so no need to hand crank. This 1916 Model T is ready for local parades and open-air motoring… with a little extra snap.
