The collection spans Porsche road and race cars, 911 project cars, engines, gearboxes, tools, parts, workshop equipment, and memorabilia, along with select personal vehicles.     Glenn’s five-decade career defined excellence in Porsche engine building, from Kremer Racing to RUF Automobile and Porsche Motorsport, where his precision and passion earned global respect. His meticulously maintained workshop reflects that legacy—filled with authentic engines, precision tools and equipment, reference materials and carefully preserved parts.     On-site lot viewings are available by appointment at Hagerty Garage + Social Savannah, 1446 Dean Forest Rd., Savannah, GA 31405.   * * * 

A colorful glimpse into the collector’s world of Porsche Master Mechanic David Glenn, this wide-ranging lot captures the artistry, heritage, and human side of motorsport. 

Included is an assortment of Porsche and race-themed scale models from makers such as Minichamps, Bburago, and AUTOart, presented in a variety of conditions—from used examples and display pieces to NOS models still in their boxes. Many depict iconic competition cars including the 917, 935, 962, and 911 GT1.

Also featured is a selection of Porsche Motorsport and racing books, including Ulrich Upietz’s 1997, 1998, and 1999 Porsche 911 GT1 volumes, David Tremayne’s Champion Racing: A Little Bit of Magic, and a run of Porsche Sport yearbooks spanning from the early 1990s through the early 2010s. Complementing the lot is team and event clothing from Porsche and associated racing programs—highlighted by a NOS Hawaiian Tropic 24 Heures du Mans 1979 red windbreaker referencing the Paul Newman, Dick Barbour, and Rolf Stommelen entry, and a small selection of team clothing from the 1989 Daytona 24 Hour–winning Miller High Life/BFGoodrich Porsche 962, a program in which David himself played a role.

Taxes & Fees:

As a reminder, auction lots on Hagerty Marketplace carry a bidder’s premium that is 7% of the final sale price, $500 minimum. In addition, applicable Georgia sales tax (7%) will be collected on non-vehicle purchases after an auction, unless the buyer qualifies for an exemption. Buyers are responsible for all taxes, export/import duties, and compliance requirements. Valid resale or export documentation must be provided before payment to claim any exemptions.

Invoicing:

Please note that invoices will be sent by the seller’s agent to all buyers approximately December 12th-14th.

Shipping:

All items are FOB Hagerty Garage + Social, Savannah, Georgia, and must be removed within a reasonable time following payment. Shipping may be coordinated through Kevin Allen, American Moving & Storage (912.856.4644) at the buyer’s expense.

Holiday Closures:
