Description
In 2020, Dodge introduced the Widebody package to the Charger Scat Pack and Hellcat models, a feature first seen on the Challenger SRT Demon. This upgrade widened the Charger by 3.5 inches, accommodating massive Pirelli 305/35ZR20 P Zero tires. Slotted Brembo brakes and a Bilstein Three-Mode Adaptive Damping Suspension significantly enhanced performance. These changes improved braking and allowed the car to achieve up to 0.98 g of lateral grip on the skid pad.
By 2021, Dodge pushed performance even further with the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye. This “Demon-possessed” variant delivered a staggering 797 horsepower, making it the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan at the time. It could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. For 2022, Dodge introduced “Jailbreak” for any SRT model. From exterior color to seatbelts, Jailbreak allowed a buyer to personalize every aspect of a new Charger, in combinations not available previously, into a unique one-of-one machine. The Jailbreak also added 10 extra horsepower.
In 2023, Dodge announced the final production year for the Charger and Challenger, citing stricter fuel economy regulations. As a tribute, all 2023 Chargers featured a “Last Call” commemorative plaque under the hood — as on this like-new Charger Redeye Jailbreak.
