Description
Dodge confirmed that 2023 marked the end of the road for the Challenger, honoring the model's legacy with four Hemi-powered Last Call Special Editions. But the ultimate send-off arrived in the form of the Challenger SRT Demon 170, a 1,025-horsepower beast and the world's first sustainable-energy street-legal muscle car. It runs the quarter-mile in a certified 8.91 seconds at 151.17 mph, hits 60 mph in a staggering 1.66 seconds, and pulls 2.004g—the highest g-force rating of any production vehicle.
Building on tech from the 2018 SRT Demon, the 170 features an upgraded TransBrake 2.0, along with special Mickey Thompson drag radials (315/50R17 rear, 245/55R18 front) for unmatched grip. Its 6.2-liter Hemi gets a 3.0-liter supercharger. Hitting 1,025 horsepower requires sustainable E85 ethanol fuel, though 900 horsepower is achievable on standard E10 gasoline. The name nods to the 170-proof, corn-based 85 percent ethanol blend. Production was capped at 3,000 units for the U.S. and 300 for Canada.
Competition? Motor Trend suggested the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.
As with other special edition Dodges, the Demon 170s were snapped up quickly, but this is an opportunity to own one showing just 956 miles. Finished in Granite Pearl Coat with a Black and Demonic Red leather interior, it’s packed with all the Demon-specific features like the unique SRT Power Chiller for between runs.
This 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is now offered on dealer consignment with a window sticker, a clean CARFAX history report, and a clean Florida title.
