Ford Bronco Raptor Meets Jeep Wrangler, Mercedes G-Wagen, Land Rover Defender — Jason Cammisa ICONS When announced, the newest sixth-generation Ford Bronco had off-road fanatics salivating at the prospect of rock crawling, climbing sand dunes, and fording rivers. Wait lists were long and high premiums were paid. Well, you can imagine the frenzy created - only one year later - when Ford confirmed the rumor of the combination of the four-door Bronco, a 418-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, and Fox suspension all developed by Ford Performance. Instead of merely traversing mother nature, those fortunate to have an allocation were dreaming of blasting through it in a Bronco Raptor. As the Bronco’s top trim level, the 2022 Raptor features a number of unique styling cues most notably widened fender flares to accommodate its 37 inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires and a specially lit front grill design so that there is no confusion between this and those lesser trim levels. Ford has recently announced that the current model year is no longer available for retail order due to high demand and as such presents a fantastic opportunity to not only acquire a Bronco Raptor but a highly specified one as well.
