Description

When the C7-generation Corvette debuted, one Road & Track editor called it the “finest combination of track pace and back-road aplomb any manufacturer has ever offered for that price.” Factor in the factory-optional Z51 Performance Package’s upgraded suspension, brakes, drivetrain, cooling, and exhaust, and the C7 was one of the most capable sports cars of the decade.

When designing the 2014–2019 Corvette, stylist Tom Peters evolved the familiar 'Vette look with a modern, more angular design, which was christened Stingray. Carbon-nano composite underbody panels and a carbon fiber hood added lightness, contributing to 50/50 weight distribution. And a lightweight yet rigid aluminum chassis was supremely capable thanks to a fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes.

The Stingray’s heart was world-class: the 6.2L LT1 V8 improved on the previous-generation LS3 with variable valve timing, direct injection, and a lofty 11.5-to-1 compression ratio. Wearing the optional performance exhaust, the LT1 produced 460 horsepower when new and and delivered nearly 30 mpg on the highway, making the C7 more high tech, more powerful, and even more efficient than the C6 it replaced.

This 10,000-mile Stingray roadster is finished in Sebring Orange paint, with black upholstery and a black convertible top. It is equipped with the quick-shifting eight-speed automatic, and was fitted from the factory with the Z51 Performance Package as well as the 1LT trim level.
