Unveiled in June 2018 as the flagship of Aston Martin’s lineup, the 2019 DBS Superleggera marked a bold return of two iconic names in the brand’s history: “DBS” and “Superleggera.”  

“Superleggera,” meaning “super light” in Italian, pays homage to the lightweight construction techniques pioneered by Carrozzeria Touring in the 1960s. While not featherweight, the DBS Superleggera utilized extensive carbon fiber in its body panels to reduce weight and enhance agility. 

Under the hood, it features a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine producing 715 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, enabling a 0–60 mph sprint in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. The car combines brutal power with refined craftsmanship, offering a luxurious interior wrapped in leather and Alcantara, along with cutting-edge infotainment and driver aids. Motor Trend (July 2018) reported, “Even amongst Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, and Maybachs, the DBS Superleggera’s interior stands out.” 

The DBS Superleggera stood as a symbol of the brand’s resurgence under new leadership. Motor Trend concluded, “For the money, you’ll get one of the best exterior designs in the history of the car, a truly gorgeous interior, some of the sweetest automotive sounds available at any price, and a fantastic continent crosser—in short, an Aston Martin.”

Known Imperfections 

•  CARFAX reports on 4 October 2022: “Accident reported” and “It hit a median,” “Damage to undercarriage,” “Vehicle disabled,” “Vehicle towed,” and “Front airbag deployed.” The consignor states, “Previous owner hit a median, causing damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle and airbag deployment. The repairs were made by a certified Aston Martin dealership using OEM parts and specifications. I have the invoices from those repairs.” 

• CARFAX reports on 13 June 2023: “Vehicle inspected for prior damage,” “Very minor damage reported,” and “Cosmetic repairs found to: left side, rear-end.”

Purchased new in March 2019 from Aston Martin San Diego, the accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report places this four owner 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera in California, North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada, and now Texas. The consignor has owned it since 2023, “and has since added approximately 4k of the 23k miles.”
