Description

After the fifth-generation Camaro ZL1 debuted with aggressive bodywork and the 556-hp LSA V8, few people thought it needed more power. But in 2017, the sixth-generation, Alpha-chassis ZL1 got nearly a hundred horses more.

The new ZL1 packed Corvette’s supercharged 6.2-liter LT4, which delivered a bruising 650 ponies. Paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission, the ZL1 could rocket from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. And thanks to a nearly 200-pound weight reduction with the new chassis, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, an e-LSD, precise electric power steering, an aerodynamic front splitter and rear spoiler, and massive Brembo brakes, it ran the Nürburgring nearly 12 seconds faster than the previous car. Car and Driver concluded, “With the ZL1, Chevrolet mixes its most raucous, most capable hardware into a monster of a car at a bargain price.”

But ZL1 isn’t just about speed: occupants enjoy comfortable, bolstered Recaro seats, a driver-focused dashboard, and an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen — with a few lucky owners enjoying a convertible top as well.

This highly original ZL1 Convertible is said to be one of only 75 Red Hot ZL1 droptops built in 2018, and only shows 5,974 miles on the odometer!
