Introduced for the 2015 model year, the sixth generation of the iconic Ford Mustang was presented with all-new styling and many performance upgrades, including the addition of independent rear suspension. Codenamed the S550, this new generation would also mark fifty years of continuous Mustang production. Available in either Fastback or Convertible body configuration with a range of engine and trim options, Ford would boast the 2016 Mustang GT as “Our fastest and best-handling GT yet”. Also available for the GT was the special Performance Package, which was developed for enhanced track use by engineers using the previous generation Boss 302 as a performance benchmark. Supported by a large following, a plethora of aftermarket upgrades are available allowing enthusiasts endless options to customize their vehicles.
