Where earlier Humvees relied on a hydraulic fan drive, a standard frame, and conventional differentials, the REV platform introduced a train-geared mechanical fan drive, a heavier three-piece frame, cooled hypoid differentials, a factory-integrated dual-condenser air conditioning system, 24-bolt military-spec wheels, impact-absorbing rear seat bases, and an integrated fire suppression system — all factory-level improvements rather than aftermarket additions.

This M1151A1 is configured as a slantback powered by the 6.5-liter turbocharged diesel V8 and a four-speed automatic transmission. The truck retains a military hardtop, turret cap insert, and X doors.
