Description
In 1962, a chicken farmer, Army Air Corps pilot, 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, car constructor, and entrepreneur named Carroll Shelby went on to create an automotive icon by combining the aluminum body of the AC Ace with Ford's 260 cubic-inch V8 engine. This fusion of lightweight British engineering and American power was created at Shelby-American Inc. in Los Angeles and became the legendary Shelby Cobra. With only a limited number of cars built in period, it is only natural that enthusiasts would continue to desire this content level of performance, thus promoting the creation of modern replicas. As one of the most highly sought-after American performance cars, both the originals and replicas maintain a strong following today.
The Broad Arrow Group car specialist representing this car states that the engine starts and runs smoothly, with great responsiveness and power. “The sound is intoxicating” and “the shifting is crisp.” There is no doubt that it is an event wherever the road takes you in this Cobra, and as a low mileage example, it is time for this Lonestar Replica to be enjoyed regularly.
