Advertised as “The Fastest production Mustang ever” and limited to a production of only 1,000 units, the Shelby GT500KR encompasses all the hallmarks that make it a flagship in any Mustang collection. Echoing the appearance of the original 1968 GT500KR, The 2009 model featured a supercharged and intercooled 5.4liter V8, an improved cold-air intake, and a revised H-pipe exhaust system. With these modifications and more, the new GT500KR gained an additional 40 horsepower over the ShelbyGT500 propelling it to become the most powerful production Mustang, boasting 540 horsepower and 510 ft-lb of torque. The chassis received significant reinforcements, including in the firewall and towers, and the inclusion of a new 3.73 ratio limited slip differential and a short throw shifter further distinguished the King of the Road package. One of only 88 in this combination, this GT500KR is finished in Vista Blue, adorned with the iconic Shelby racing stripes in Vapor Silver. A standout feature of the KR's exterior was its exclusive carbon fiber hood, only available with the KR package. This distinctive configuration was limited in production, making it a rare find. Ownership History

According to the accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this 2009 Shelby GT500KR was sold new via Rancho Ford in Temecula, California in 2010. First registered in Canton, Georgia, the original owner added less than 200 miles per year under their eight year ownership. Sold to the second owner in 2019, it would remain in Georgia, receiving a service at Angela Krause Ford Lincoln in Alpharetta, with the consignor acquiring the car in 2021.
