Introduced for the 2009 model year, the Ferrari California marked a pivotal moment in Maranello’s history. When it was at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, the modern California reimagined a storied name first used on the 1950s California Spyder, blending heritage with modern ambition.

The California featured a front‑mounted V8, paired with the brand’s first-ever 7‑speed dual‑clutch transmission — an innovation that reshaped Ferrari drivetrains going forward. Its retractable hardtop transformed the car from elegant coupé to open‑air grand tourer in seconds.

This 2009 California’s 4.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 produces 453 horsepower, capable of launching it from 0-60 mph in less than four seconds.
