In the early 2000s, Roush Performance Products was known for aggressively styled Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 Mustangs with a reputation for solid construction and high performance. In 2007, Roush raised the bar even higher with the top-of-the-line 427R, available for S197 Mustang Coupes and Convertibles.

When selecting the 427R, buyers received Roush’s unique aero kit wearing Roush stripes and badges, along with 18” chrome wheels. The supercharged and intercooled 4.6L V8 made 427 horsepower through additional ECM tuning and an off-road exhaust system, and that high-tech mill was complemented by a sport-tuned suspension with new front struts, rear shocks, springs, and anti-roll bars.

The result was a five-second run to 60, a low 13-second quarter mile, and according to Motor Trend testers, looks that “made heads turn as Paris Hilton would at a Masonic Lodge meeting. Thankfully for us, none of those heads wore trooper hats.”

This example is finished in Grabber Orange with White stripes, features black upholstery, and has traveled about 6,100 miles since new. Additionally, it was optioned when new with leather sport seats, a short-throw shifter, white-faced gauges, carbon fiber look dash trim, and quarter window louvers.
