2006 Lexus SC 430

Description

In 1999, Lexus revealed its Sport Coupe concept during the Tokyo Motor Show. This concept had a folding hardtop and was powered by a V8 engine. It was a sign that the company was planning to replace the first-generation SC 300/400. The production version of this sports coupe-convertible was called the SC 430, and it made its debut at the New York Auto Show in April 2000. The SC 430 was equipped with a 4.3-liter "3UZ-FE" V8 engine that had variable valve timing (VVT-i) and was paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. This engine was the same one used in the UCF30 Lexus LS. With the SC 430's V8 engine, the car could produce 288 horsepower and 317 foot-pounds of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. What made the SC 430 unique was its power-folding convertible hardtop. This feature allowed the car to be transformed from an open-air motor to a refined coupe at the touch of a button.

Known Imperfections 

• The CARFAX Vehicle History Report notes a damage report on 10 August 2007 stating “very minor damage. Vehicle involved in a rear end collision. Damage to the front. Minor damage is usually cosmetic, including dents or scratches to the vehicle body.”

Ownership History 

The current owner of this 2006 Lexus SC 430 purchased the car in July 2006 in North Carolina, with it being retitled in October 2019 with 66,000 miles when they moved to Florida.
