When it debuted for the 1997 model year, the TJ-generation Jeep Wrangler was a gigantic leap forward for the off-road brand. Sure, its round headlights were a visual cue to Jeep's military and agricultural past, but underneath and inside the TJ was by far the most modern, comfortable, and capable open-top Jeep to date. Coil springs at each corner improved its ride quality and gave its solid axles impressive flex, and the new dashboard with its dual-airbag setup and simple controls made it safer and easier-to-use.
This 2004 Wrangler is a Sport model powered by Jeep's venerable 4.0L inline-six, paired here with a five-speed manual gearbox and it was factory-equipped with a Dana 44 axle housing a limited-slip rear differential. Refinished in 2018 in black over patterned cloth upholstery, it features a black hardtop with tinted windows and an aftermarket trailer hitch. This TJ Sport was modified prior to the seller's 2018 acquisition with aftermarket suspension components and it rides on 33" off-road tires mounted on aftermarket wheels.
This 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport is now offered at no reserve with a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report and a clean Pennsylvania title in the seller's name.
