Description

Originally launched in 1999 to commemorate Honda's 50th anniversary, the 2004 Honda S2000 represents a refined evolution of the celebrated roadster. Not too fine, however, which was a good thing, according to the automotive media. Sport Compact Car Magazine called it "as close to a superbike as you can get on four wheels," and Motor Trend agreed: "You don't so much drive the S2000 as wear it or ride it." 

The 2004 Honda S2000 underwent a significant update, most notably the introduction of the F22C1 engine, which increased displacement from 2.0 to 2.2 liters. This change improved mid-range torque, making the car more responsive for everyday driving while maintaining its high-revving character and 240 horsepower output. The 2004 model also featured revised suspension tuning, larger wheels, and updated styling cues, including new bumpers and headlights. These changes enhanced both performance and aesthetics, giving the S2000 a more aggressive stance and improved handling dynamics. Inside, the car retained its minimalist, driver-focused cockpit with black leather seats, digital instrumentation, and a short-throw six-speed manual transmission. 

This 2004 Honda S2000 was recently refinished in New Formula Red paint and has been upgraded with a carbon splitter and spoiler, aftermarket wheels, and a new OEM convertible top.

The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report places this three-owner 2004 Honda S2000 in Arkansas. It was delivered to Holmes Honda in Shreveport, Louisiana, in December 2003 and purchased new on 8 July 2004 in Springdale, Arkansas. The S2000’s current owner bought it in May 2018 in North Little Rock. The car is showing 36,717 original miles.
