The 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible marked the final year of the famed “Terminator” program developed by Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT). Introduced in 2003 and carried over with minor updates, the 2004 model retained the supercharged 4.6‑liter DOHC V8, factory‑rated at 390 horsepower, part of SVT’s effort to reestablish Mustang dominance in the pony‑car performance wars. All came with a TREMEC T-56 six-speed manual transmission.

The 2004 model year brought refinements that included small exhaust changes to eliminate the gas‑guzzler tax when new and an array of color choices. Overall production was limited to fewer than 5,000 units.

This ’04 SVT Cobra Convertible features an SVT-specific front fascia with integrated fog lights, rear bumper, and heat‑extractor hood, as well as a power-operated convertible top and a rear decklid spoiler. First delivered to Canada, the car was later imported to the U.S. and has been registered in South Carolina, and Ohio prior to its acquisition by the Florida-based selling dealer.
