The Ford E-Series, also known as the Ford Econoline, is a range of full-size vans that debuted in the 1961 model line, replacing the Ford F-Series panel van, and is still being produced to this day. More than 8 million units have been sold since 1961, making it the third-best selling van line in history.
The fourth-generation Econoline was largely a carryover from the Third-generation chassis, but the body and interior underwent a redesign. Toward the end of the 1990s, Ford began to phase out the Econoline nameplate, and officially in 1999 it was renamed the E-Series.
Explorer Van, a family-owned and operated conversion van business for over 30 years, became known for the luxury and comfort upgrades applied to vans and SUVs. The Warsaw, IN based company boasts, “We deliver more, not less than we promise.” This 2004 Ford E-150 benefited from that quality touch with dual captain’s chairs, power fold leather couch, privacy shade windows, entertainment and audio auxiliary connections, and a television.
