The XJ represents the pinnacle of Jaguar’s saloon car range, with the “X308” generation holding that title from 1997 to 2003. The X308 featured the well-proven AJ-V8 engine along with Jaguar‘s independent rear suspension beloved for its superb handling characteristics. While the X308 retained many of the same exterior styling features as its predecessor, the X300, such as the rounded four-headlamp bonnet, low roofline, sloping tail, and wrap-around rear light clusters. However, the interior of the X308 was significantly updated, with the rectangular instrument cluster being replaced by three deeply recessed dials similar in style to those in the recently introduced Jaguar XK8. The top-of-the-range Daimler marque was sold as the Vanden Plas model in certain markets, such as the United States, and featured softer suspension with all available luxury features and could be differentiated from the standard XJ models by their traditional Daimler fluted radiator grille surround and fluted boot-lid plinth.

Ownership History

The CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows that this 2003 Jaguar XJ8 was initially sold in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in April 2003. The car stayed with the original owner until April 2008, with the second owner purchasing the car in October 2008. They kept the vehicle until it was purchased by the third owner in January 2016, then by the fourth owner in June 2021. The current owner of this Jaguar acquired the car in June 2022.
