Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
In 1998, Chevy refreshed the fourth-generation Camaro with a rounder, more refined body that differentiated it from earlier, more angular 1993–97 models. Enthusiasts were thrilled to see the highest-performance model, the Camaro SS, once again available on 1998–02 Camaros.
The new SS was a looker with a forced-air induction hood, a large rear spoiler, handsome 17” wheels wearing performance tires, and an updated cabin with better materials, plus the new 5.7L LS1. As impressive as that V8 engine was, it's no match for this '02 Camaro SS, which has been modified with the LS1 V8 stroked to 6.2L and paired with a Hurst-shifted 6-speed manual transmission and aftermarket clutch. The setup was dyno-tested at 368 horsepower at the rear wheels in 2019, and it's equipped with 2-step control and line-lock.
The car was finished from the factory in Navy Blue over Ebony leather, and it was factory-fitted with removable T-top roof panels. Just 11,191 Camaro SS models were reportedly built in 2002.
This modified 2002 Chevrolet Camaro SS is now offered by the selling dealer with its original build sheet and window sticker, an owner's manual, maintenance records, a 2019 dyno sheet, a CARFAX history report, and a clean Florida title.
