Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
This 1999 Porsche 911 Cabriolet, a classic convertible Porsche of the 996 generation, was produced in late 1998 and has been enjoyed by its current owners for the last 23 years. According to its accompanying clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, it was sold new in Minnesota, and would enjoy around 25,000 miles with its first owner there before moving west and landing in sunny Northern California with its current long-term caretakers in the summer of 2002. A nicely optioned example, this six-speed manual 996 Cabriolet is finished in Black over Tan upholstery with leather front seats and a newer black cloth soft top, and retains desirable factory installed options including 18” Turbo wheels and seat heaters.
An extensive file of invoices, copies of which are available for review, documents consistent service history since the current owner’s acquisition in 2002. Recent service work has included the installation of a new clutch in March 2025, while in 2023 with only 59,916 miles the 996 received a significant service at Ignacio Motorsports which included an oil change, new spark plugs, engine and pollen filters, an engine drive belt, and a new window regulator among other service items.
A well-kept car over the years, the 911 presents extremely well today with only expected cosmetic wear consistent with a well treated car of its mileage, showing fewer than 61,500 miles from new. A great all-around sports car, the 996 generation of Porsche’s legendary 911 is a true analog “driver’s car”, and surely represents one of the best ways to experience the thrills of Porsche ownership on a relatively affordable basis.
