Description
“We can’t think of any car that offers this much performance bang for the buck than this new Z28,” said Car and Driver in December 1997. What was true then is still true today. Throughout the 1990s, the fourth-generation “F-Body” Camaro outperformed Mustangs on the street and the drag strip, as it switched from small-block LT to aluminum-block LS power. Borrowing the Corvette’s 310 horsepower, 5.7-liter “LS1” from 1998, the 1998-2002 Camaros are highly sought after as an enjoyable driver and as a collectible, especially the high-performance Z28 model equipped with a Torsen limited-slip rear axle, performance ride and handling package, and 16-inch aluminum wheels. Single-owner, unmodified examples are among the most desirable fourth-gen Camaros, making this excellent Z28 the perfect choice for driving enjoyment or continued preservation.
