The Chevrolet CK Series C1500 is part of Chevrolet's long-standing line of full-size pickup trucks, which have been a staple in the American automotive landscape. Introduced in 1960, the CK series was designed to offer a versatile and durable vehicle for both work and personal use. The "C" designation indicated two-wheel drive, while "K" stood for four-wheel drive. 

Over the years, the CK series underwent several redesigns and updates. The 1998 C1500 half-ton pickup represents the final year of production for the truck’s fourth generation. It featured a range of engine options, with the reliable 4.3-liter V6 serving as the standard mill. Offered in several configurations — base Cheyenne, mid-range Scottsdale, and more luxurious Silverado — the 1998 C1500 introduced several safety features, including driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock brakes, and improved crash protection. 

This C1500 Cheyenne Fleetside was originally equipped with a V6 engine, but the consignor swapped it for an LS1 5.7-liter V8 engine 2,340 miles ago. The truck has also received numerous additional upgrades, including fresh paint, custom hood, and an ARE tonneau cover.

Ownership History 

According to the accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this 1998 Chevy C1500 Cheyenne has had four California owners. It was purchased new on 30 July 1998 in Hayward, California, and it currently resides in San Leandro. The consignor has owned it since 5 December 2011. “This truck is used mainly twice a year when we go camping and pull a trailer.”
