“30 Years of Camaro. One Incredible Machine.” The 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 30th Anniversary Edition was a special tribute to three decades of Camaro performance and style. Inspired by the iconic 1969 Indy 500 Pace Car, this limited-edition model (RPO Z4C) featured a striking Arctic White exterior with bold Hugger Orange stripes, white 16-inch five-spoke wheels, and unique badging. Inside, buyers could choose between white leather, or black-and-white houndstooth cloth seats that mimicked the 1969 Pace Cars, both embroidered with “30th Anniversary” logos.

Available on both coupe and convertible Z28 models, the Z4C package added a $575 premium to the base price. Under the hood, it retained the potent 5.7-liter LT1 V8 engine producing 285 horsepower, paired with either a four-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. A total of 4,533 Anniversary Editions were produced.

The 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Brickyard 400 Festival Car Convertible was a limited-edition pace and festival vehicle created for the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Based on the Z4C 30th Anniversary Edition convertible, it featured special Brickyard 400 graphics. Only 50 were produced and were used by race officials and VIPs during the event and in the Festival Parade prior to the race, as evidenced by the letter of authenticity from the GM Camaro/Corvette Brand Team.
