By 1992, Ford was building the most refined and final versions of the Fox-body Mustang era. Offered in understated LX and performance GT trims, body styles included coupe, hatchback, and convertible.

The ’92 LX 5.0 stood out for its lighter weight and sleeper appeal, using the same potent 5.0‑liter High Output V8 as the GT but a comparatively subtle appearance. The LX 5.0 Convertible added open‑air excitement and featured a power-operated fabric top, reinforced chassis bracing, and a quieter exhaust that highlighted refinement over flash.

This 1992 Mustang convertible is finished in Medium Cabernet Red (EH) with a replacement black convertible top over reupholstered gray vinyl bucket seats with patterned cloth inserts and color-matching carpet.

The Mustang’s 5.0-liter V8 is said to have been modified with aftermarket injectors, a 65 mm throttle body,an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, GT40 cylinder heads, and BBK shorty headers, and it powers the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Additional features include a Kenwood touchscreen radio with Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility as well as power windows and locks.
