Description
The Cadillac Allanté was Cadillac’s ambitious attempt to challenge European luxury roadsters from brands like Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar, combining American V8 power with sleek bodywork designed and built by Pininfarina in Italy. Final assembly took place in Detroit, after the Italian-built bodies were shipped using specially constructed airplanes, a unique and costly process that made the Allanté one of the most intriguing luxury cars of its era—and, famously, one of the least profitable.
For 1991, the Allanté continued to use the 4.5-liter V8 but received a series of refinements, including quieter induction and steering systems, an upgraded speed-sensitive suspension, refinements to the traction-control system, and an improved power-assisted convertible top.
This 1991 Cadillac Allanté is finished in white with a Natural Beige leather interior. Under the hood, it is powered by the 4.5L V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transaxle, featuring four-wheel independent suspension as well as traction control. Inside, it is equipped with a digital gauge cluster, cruise control, and power windows, locks, and seats.
Said to have been acquired by the selling dealer out of its previous owner's estate, the car's odometer shows just under 2,100 miles.
This 1991 Cadillac Allanté is now offered by the selling dealer with an accident-free CARFAX Vehicle History Report and a clean Virginia title.
