Description
Introduced in 1984, the Ford Bronco II was Ford’s answer to the growing demand for compact sport utility vehicles. Built on the Ford Ranger platform, it offered a smaller, more maneuverable alternative to the full-size Bronco while retaining off-road capability and rugged styling. Competing with vehicles like the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer and Jeep Cherokee, the Bronco II carved out a niche for drivers seeking a versatile SUV that could handle both daily driving and weekend adventures. Production ran through early 1990, when it was succeeded by the all-new Ford Explorer.
This particular 1990 Bronco II is one of the final units produced before the model was discontinued in February of that year, as confirmed by the accompanying Marti Report. It has undergone a comprehensive frame-off refurbishment, with most every component either rebuilt, replaced, or refinished. From a fully machined and rebuilt engine to new systems for fuel, brakes, A/C, and steering. The frame was sandblasted and repainted, the body received rust repair and a complete color change, and the interior was refreshed with new carpet, headliner, and electronics. This Bronco II has been transformed into a show-quality example while preserving its original mechanical character and off-road capability.
