Chevrolet’s newly redesigned fourth‑generation C/K series, known internally as the GMT400, helped redefine what a full‑size pickup could be. Introduced for the 1988 model year, this generation emphasized computer-designed aerodynamics, modernized engineering, and a more car‑like driving experience than trucks of yore.

The Sportside variant stood out with its flared rear fenders and traditional narrow bed, a nostalgic nod to earlier Chevy pickups.
