Reintroduced in 1986 after a decade-long absence, the convertible version of Chevrolet's Corvette returned as a stylish alternative to the fourth-generation coupe. The C4 convertible retained the Corvette’s sleek, aerodynamic design and standard 5.7-liter L98 V8 with Tuned Port Injection, while adding a lightweight, manually operated soft top and a heated glass rear window.

By 1989, the Corvette offered improved suspension and ride quality, better throttle response and smoother operation, and redesigned sport seats. The convertible version also featured additional chassis tuning for reduced cowl shake, improved weather sealing, and better top fit and durability than earlier years.

This 1989 Corvette Convertible is finished in black with a black soft top and red interior with reupholstered/restuffed leather high-back bucket seats, replacement carpet, and replacement arm rests on both doors. Features include dual power seats, digital instrument panel with analog odometer, driver information system, AM/FM/cassette stereo with digital clock, automatic climate control, and "Salad Shooter” aluminum wheels. The convertible’s V8 engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
