Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The second-generation Mazda RX-7, known internally as the FC, elevated Mazda's rotary-powered sports car formula with more sophisticated styling, improved handling, and refined grand touring character. Introduced for 1986 and drawing design inspiration from the Porsche 944, the FC-generation RX-7 paired lightweight rear-wheel-drive dynamics with Mazda's unique rotary engine, helping solidify the model's reputation as one of the most innovative Japanese sports cars.
This 1988 Mazda RX-7 GXL was acquired by the seller in 2013 from a friend, who was reportedly its original owner.
The car is powered by a 1.3-liter 13B two-rotor engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in black over gray cloth upholstery, the car is equipped with a power tilt sunroof, Auto Adjusting Suspension (AAS), Dynamic Tracking Suspension System (DTSS) rear steering, four-wheel disc brakes, 15-inch directional alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, power accessories, and an AM/FM cassette stereo.
Various fluids were replaced earlier in 2026, and the car remains largely unmodified.
This low-mileage 1988 Mazda RX-7 GXL is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, factory literature, a Haynes repair manual, some service records, a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.
