Hailing from the golden age of Jeep, the Grand Wagoneer is one of the most collectible vintage SUVs and the final years of the SJ-series are among the most fondly remembered. The famously reliable AMC 5.9-liter V8 and outstanding practicality from the Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel drive system make the Grand Wagoneer one of the easiest classic cars to own. In contrast with the earlier Wagoneers and Cherokees, the interior in the Grand Wagoneer is classic American luxury, with space for six in the all-leather and wood-trimmed interior. The SJ-series Wagoneer enjoyed the longest production run of any Jeep product and the final five years are considered to be the best due to a number of quality control measures by the new owner, Chrysler. Ownership History

According to the CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was first sold in Delaware in June of 1988. In 1994 while in Florida, CARFAX notes that the car “exceeds mechanical limits” also stating that this occurs when “the owner discloses an odometer rollover to a DMV.” Registered in Michigan since 2018, service records show a 2019 engine rebuild approximately 1,500 miles ago by the consignor.
